This one started strong.
The pork? Devoured. The sweet potatoes? A smash hit (literally—she mashed them with glee). I peeled the skin off to make them baby-safe and extra soft.
We skipped the lettuce and onions (because…babies), gave her a shot at the tomatoes (which got a lukewarm reception), and then—
Cue meltdown.
Full emotional spiral. Dinner ended with one of us holding her like a tiny, furious queen while the other scraped plates and whispered, “but she liked the pork…”
We may never know what caused the sudden drama (was it the tomatoes? teething? her realization that the pork was finite?). But she loved the food up until that moment, so we’re counting it as a win.
What we gave her:
- Peeled sweet potatoes (soft and baby-mashed)
- Chopped pork
- A few diced tomatoes
(No lettuce, no onions)
